The following are the main investment-based residency options in the UAE:
1. Investor visa: This is a renewable three-year residency permit that is available to foreign investors who have a minimum of AED 10 million (approximately USD 2.7 million) in an investment fund or a company based in the UAE.
2. Property investor visa: This is a renewable two-year residency permit that is available to foreign nationals who own property in the UAE worth a minimum of AED 1 million (approximately USD 272,000).
3. Entrepreneur visa: This is a renewable five-year residency permit that is available to foreign entrepreneurs who have a business idea that is deemed innovative and has the potential to create jobs and contribute to the UAE's economy.
4. Special talent visa: This is a renewable 10-year residency permit that is available to foreign nationals who have exceptional talents in the fields of science, art, or culture, or who hold leadership positions in their respective industries.
5. Golden Visa: This is a renewable 10-year residency permit that is available to foreign investors who have a minimum of AED 2 million (approximately USD USD 550,000) in real estate in UAE

To obtain a UAE Golden Visa, applicants must complete the relevant application forms, pay the appropriate fees, and provide supporting documents. The Golden Residence visa is valid for 10 years and can be renewed. The visa remains valid even if the holder resides outside the UAE.
After completing the necessary due diligence checks and paying the retainer, the applicant can submit their application for UAE residence to the government. If the applicant meets the requirements and receives initial approval, they will be granted a six-month multiple-entry visa to travel to the UAE. The applicant must then undergo a medical check and apply for an ID card. Once these steps are completed, the applicant will receive full approval and the residence visa.
The processing time for the residence application typically takes over eight weeks.
